Baby Everett {family visit}

There is nothing better then heading home to welcome the newest member to the family.  Congrats guys, I love you!!!

* Meet Everett *

On top of the excitement of welcoming this little guy to the family I had some time this trip to visit the beach, hang out at a pumpkin patch, visit the park, see my younger brother and just simply enjoy my family!  All in all, it was a lovely trip filled with lots of love and joy!

* Beach Day*

After a night at the beach, we returned to my brother’s house for one last night, and then said our goodbyes.

Seattle Magazine {best restaurants}

I am so blessed for the opportunities I have had thus far with Seattle Magazine- and even more so for this particular feature.  Being a contributing photographer for a large story made me feel so honored. It was a nice challenge to keep my eye fresh, and do these wonderful restaurants justice.

Hope you enjoy some images from my shoots for this assignment as well as check out these places- they were all so wonderful to me, and have some delicious foods as well as killer atmospheres!

Joule

So, on Oct.19th my husband and I came to Joule to eat dinner for our 6yr anniversary.  I usually just shoot at these lovely places, and rarely dine at them at a later date.  And that all changed with this restaurant. And let me tell you- The food was fantastic, the server was fun and they took great care of us. They were so kind that they even treated us to a free drink in celebrating our anniversary.  So, on that note, I would highly recommend checking this restaurant out!

Weekend getaway {to the coast}

As the lives we live have the tendency to get busy- my husband and I planned a little weekend camping trip, to just get away.  Take some time to enjoy one another as well as the end of the camping season.  We had yet to explore the Washington Coast much since moving out west, so that is just what we did this past weekend.

Started with a ferry ride, then a few hour drive to the camp grounds.  We got in past dark, which leaves some mystery to where exactly we found ourselves.  All we had was the sound of waves crashing and the fire crackling as we went to bed.  Those sounds are perfect to fall asleep to!

As the morning approached we made breakfast on the fire and then got to exploring.  Of course with a pit-stop for coffee first!  Neah Bay, WA

Cape Flattery

Then it was back to the campsite … The next morning we ended up speeding up the process of packing-up and heading out due to weather.  But, that did not stop us from stopping as we pleased to site see.  We even spotted some whales!

Seattle Magazine {July/August issue}

This August issue focuses on ‘Easy Island Getaways’ and I had the pleasure to take my first seaplane and head to Orcas Island for the day.  This was one of my last assignments as an intern, before I began to be a contracted photographer for Seattle Magazine. For these few reasons, is why I am very excited and proud of this issue.

I hope you can enjoy the below images as much as I did while capturing some of these wonderful places:-) The Northwest is beyond stunning and I can’t get over how lucky I am to have the opportunity to explore it in these ways.
