My good friend Jess and I had a recent opportunity to escaped for a little 4 day trip to New Orleans (thanks to travelzoo deals).  So of course we took it!

Jess is an incredibly hard working mother with an amazing little family.  As a full time Mom, Jess doesn’t get many opportunities to take trips like this.

Plus, she invited me along for this little vacation in which I was very grateful for.  It was a win- win for me because I got to spend some quality time with my good friend and take some travel photo’s for me to share with all of you.

So, during our little stay we had an amazing time exploring the city of New Orleans and made sure to see all the things that were musts for a first time visit.

Visiting the swamps was one of the best parts of our trip. We did a tour with Honey Island in Slidell, LA. The swamps were so beautiful and peaceful.  It was so hard to actually capture the beauty of this place… but I did my best (even used my iphone for a couple of shots).

Before our goodbyes we had some last minuet stops that included the Market, Ferry ride, and seeing christmas decorations in the lobby of the Roosevelt hotel.
