It is always an honor to be a part of a destination wedding.  The closeness you have with the guests of the wedding make you feel like you are a part of the family…and Mike and Nicole especially reached out to make us feel like we were apart of the group!After a day of travel and a little rest time to enjoy the resort at Dreams in Punta Cana we got ready for an exciting night ahead of us on a sunset boat ride to begin the celebration of these two wonderful people!  So much joy and happiness was in the air!

Then it was the big day.  

One of my favorite parts on a wedding day is when the groom and bride choose to do a ‘first look’!  The emotions and anticipation that builds before that very moment that you see your future Husband or Wife is so special, and getting to capture is is just as lovely.

With all that being said, our day started at the Sheraton Suites and then a short Limo drive took us to the Parsonage House.  This is where the ladies continued to get ready and Alissa became an incredibly beautiful looking bride.

The ceremony was nothing short of flawless and ended with the new Mr. & Mrs. Long exiting the church with loved ones outside throwing paper- airplanes in their direction.  It was picture perfect  As well as the leaf covered grounds at Bellevue State Park where we made sure to stop and take photo’s before heading to the DCCA.  As the day continued, the events just kept getting better and better with so many photo opportunities that I hope you enjoy in the post below.

Then the party began…With glowing lights above and wonderful surprises throughout the evening.  It truly was a wonderful night!

Then it was time…

Happy Halloween from the new Mr. & Mrs.

Overall, it was a low key wedding that was focused on family, friends, and celebration (just the way it should be).  I am so happy to have met these two individuals and was honored to be apart of their wedding day.  They were such a blast!

Destination weddings are always a pleasure to be apart of – but this one was even more so due to the family and friends that we were surrounded by on Kyle & Amanda’s wedding day. I felt such love, sincerity, closeness, strength, and joy from each member of their guests…it was truly inspiring to witness.  Along with the wonderful people came gorgeous surroundings of the sandy beaches in Mexico.  It was picture perfect.

And it all started with a gorgeous white dress and a yellow tie:

An adventurous way to end this perfect night was a swim in the hotel fountain. 

The next day was a little vacation for my husband and I – and we took full advantage of it.  We enjoyed watching the sun rise, sitting by the pool side, zip lining, snorkeling with sea turtles and more.  It was a lovely way to end a short little trip and we have Amanda and Kyle to thank!

Thier wedding was filled with so much more than the beauty of Aruba beaches.  These two are so perfect for one another, and I am so happy to welcome Shayna to the family as of June 10th when they officially tied the knot during their civil ceremony.   After they became Mr. & Mrs. Petruccelli we joined them for some lunch followed by some jet skiing during sunset. Pretty perfect if you ask me.

The following morning was the start of ‘the BIG Day’.

Moments after arriving at the Church Bree and Jeff had their ‘First Look’.  Soon after ,we discovered what the other floors in the building had to offer for photo locations (we did our best to stay indoors, due to cold weather).  With luck we found some amazing loft/warehouse spaces to bring the wedding party for photo’s.  It was full of adventure and danger while riding the freight elevators.

The ceremony was very personal and perfect, Jeff even played a song for Bree.  It was an incredibly memorable moment to share with them.

After the exchange of vows, it was time to party at the Lakefront Brewery on the east side.  And let me tell you, these guys know how to dance!  It was such a blast to be apart of.

It is Anthropologie‘s wedding line, which will debut on February 14, 2011.  BHLDN will become the sixth brand to join the URBN family.  Enjoy! It is simply going to be nothing short of gorgeous.

I am filled with anticipation and excitement for this site to go public.  As it too would be a dream come true to photograph with Urban Outfitters Inc. and capture these femininely brilliant gowns for BHLDN.  And I am sure other’s in the wedding industry are on the same page as me on that one. But, for now I will just appreciate these lovely images that show off how gorgeous this ‘new line’ is going to be.

“Following in the tradition of Anthropologie, BHLDN puts emphasis on not just apparel, but the imagination and detail of every element that makes up a wedding. Decorations will round out the collection later in the year, encompassing varied interests and themes. This wedding was filled with so much love and personal detail.  From the choice of flowers to the parting wedding gift (maple syrup) stemmed from details of themselves.  My husband and myself could not be more thankful for being apart of their special day with them.
