Started with a ferry ride, then a few hour drive to the camp grounds.  We got in past dark, which leaves some mystery to where exactly we found ourselves.  All we had was the sound of waves crashing and the fire crackling as we went to bed.  Those sounds are perfect to fall asleep to!

As the morning approached we made breakfast on the fire and then got to exploring.  Of course with a pit-stop for coffee first!   Neah Bay, WA

Then it was back to the campsite …  The next morning we ended up speeding up the process of packing-up and heading out due to weather.  But, that did not stop us from stopping as we pleased to site see.  We even spotted some whales!

So, after grabbing brunch we headed back to our house and loaded up the car with camping gear, some food, our pup, and Joel’s guitar.

And the adventure began with a ferry ride.

Due to the fact that we did not plan ahead of time, once we arrived in the Olympic Mountains the sun was setting. So, we drove up for a sneak peak and then headed to set up camp.  We figured we had the whole next day to enjoy the scenery.

After saying goodbye to the mountains we headed to Port Angeles to see the sunset over the water.  Absolutely beautiful and beyond peaceful!

It was a weekend jammed packed with great food, long walks, and sight seeing.  Here are some images from our weekend adventures.

After taking a few months of adjusting and realizing that I may not be sure about what this city has to offer me – I then noticed a position at Seattle Magazine.

So, for the past few months I have been learning the works of the ‘magazine world’ and taking on photo assignments, meeting deadlines, and seeing my name published in an amazing magazine, in my new city!  I cant be more excited about this opportunity and I am unsure where this intern will leave me, but I am enjoying the process.

Zombie Stars  is an exclusive clothing brand that focuses on zombie versions of your favorite stars. The designs are hand illustrated and hand printed.  Imagery shows a take on things and pop-culture, and zombie-related fun.

The main focus of Zombie Stars Clothing is to create a lasting brand, an eye catching apparel line, and a profitable business for all involved.  Shirts will be coming soon to a store near YOU so keep your eye out!

So, this past weekend I had the pleasure of getting my hands on a variety of these shirts and finding some wonderful people to model them for me.  They each individually gave up their time willingly and did an incredible job showcasing ZombieStarsClothing.

Once again, I thank you ALL for your time and help during the shoot.  I know Tony Cavailer (owner) and his brother, Nick thank you as well.

This past weekend marked the 2yr anniversary of my Father-in-law’s death.  Wow, I don’t write the word ‘death’ often, and now I know why.  Knowing that it would be a rough day my husband and I thought it would be helpful to meet his family in Door County and visit ‘the bluff‘ where Jeff’s ashes were spread.  It is a lot easier to battle hard days like these when everyone is together.

It ended up being a short trip to Door County but a lovely one.  We visited the bluff twice, once at night where the night sky blew us away with thousands of stars!  Un-fortuenly, I did not have my camera with me to capture the clusters of pure sparkle in the sky, but made sure to document the next day at the bluff and the icy waters before heading back to the city.

We had a hard time getting a little motivated the next day after such an emotionally exhausting, yet amazing weekend so we decided to enjoy the wintery snow day in Milwaukee by Lake Michigan.  Days like these are seriously my favorite.  Hope you enjoy

I was stoked to be apart of this commercial production for LUVD because I love what it stands for; and how it promotes a lifestyle.  The idea of living your day to day life with passion, adventure, joy, and most of all Love.  With that in mind, we had a fun day in the city just ‘Living LUVD’.
